It’s mainly used in the manufacture of paper, textiles, drinking water, soaps & detergents and even food preparation.

(2) Properties

​​Solid Caustic Soda​​ (Ion-exchange membrane, Chemical fiber-grade, High-purity, Food additive): Primarily white flakes (or granules). Chemical formula: NaOH. Specific gravity: 2.13. Strong alkaline, highly hygroscopic (absorbs moisture), highly corrosive to skin and fabrics. Easily absorbs carbon dioxide from the air to form sodium carbonate. Must be stored dry, clean, free from contamination, and in packaging that isolates it from air

​​Liquid Caustic Soda​​ (Ion-exchange membrane, Chemical fiber-grade, High-purity, Food additive): Colorless transparent solution. Highly alkaline and strongly corrosive to skin, textiles, and paper.

(3) Packaging

​​Solid Caustic Soda:​​ Flake caustic soda is packaged in plastic woven bags (with inner liner bag, 25 kg/bag). Granular caustic soda is packaged in heavy-duty packaging film (25 kg/bag). After packaging, ton-sized stretch film wrapping and secondary bagging (plastic woven bag) can be provided based on customer requirements.

Caustic soda is an important chemical raw material. It is primarily used in the food industry, oil extraction, papermaking, man-made fibers, textiles, printing and dyeing, sewage treatment, non-ferrous metal smelting, fertilizers, power plant water treatment, organic synthesis, pharmaceuticals, daily chemicals, fine chemicals, plastics, and water treatment industries
