Characteristic

Colorless liquid or transparent crystal with low melting point having a clove flavor. 1 part terpinol is soluble in 2 parts (70% by volume) of ethanol solution, slightly soluble in water and glycerol.

Application

It is also used in medicine, pesticides, plastics, soap, ink industry, and as a solvent for the color of glassware. Mainly used in the preparation of lilac, lily of the valley, acacia, orange blossom and other fragrant soap, cosmetic essence. Pure α-terpinol can be prepared lemon, orange, peach and other edible flavors. Many ester compounds prepared from terpinol are also good spices.

Packing & Storage

Store the container tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Store apart from foodstuff containers or incompatible materials.
